Former General Counsel for the Iowa Utilities Board is Joining BW's Energy and Utility Group

The BrownWinick Law Firm is excited to announce that David J. Lynch is joining BrownWinick’s Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Practice Group. David has extensive expertise in energy law, public utility regulation, administrative law and telecommunications regulation. He has litigated public utility and telecommunications matters in state and federal district courts, federal and state appellate courts, and has argued before the United States Supreme Court. David brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the state’s largest energy legal practice and will continue to focus on Energy and Telecommunications law.
David served as counsel for the Iowa Utilities Board for twenty years. Additionally, David previously served as Senior Attorney for MidAmerican Energy, leading rate cases and electric transmission line franchising matters and has also previously practiced law with two other Des Moines law firms.
David is a graduate of the University of Iowa, College of Law, graduating with Juris Doctorate with High Honors (1983) and a graduate of Yale University with a bachelor of arts in economics (1980). He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Iowa, Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, U.S. Courts of Appeal for the 8th and D.C. Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
