BrownWinick Kicks Off Its First Charity Event of 2017
By: BrownWinick
To kick off its first charity event in 2017, BrownWinick collected items and raised funds for the House of Mercy during the months of January and February. BrownWinick was able to collect five boxes of items, which included personal hygiene items, baby wipes, water bottles and notebooks, as well as boxes of diapers. The House of Mercy was also the selected charity for one of BrownWinick’s jeans days where attorneys and staff are allowed to wear jeans in exchange for a donation. Through the jeans day and the collection of cash donations and gift cards, BrownWinick was able to give $280 in cash and gift cards to House of Mercy.
House of Mercy works with pregnant, parenting or non-parenting, and adolescent through adult age women by providing support and services such as counseling, education, medical care, transitional housing, meals, transportation, childcare and other skill development support. House of Mercy is one of the state’s largest providers for transitional housing and clinic services for parenting women with addiction.
