As an associate attorney at BrownWinick, I am fortunate to work with a wide variety of clients across many industries. I chose to work in business law because I am inspired by leaders with vision – even if yours is not yet clear, I will work with you to refine your goals and make them a reality.

My Approach

Whether your matter is routine or transformational, I will approach our work together with the same care and diligence to ensure top-quality results. I emphasize timely and straightforward communication because I want you to feel empowered about the path ahead. I will be there to support your challenges, successes, and all the in-betweens.

More About Me

Born and raised in eastern Iowa, I’ve brought my small-town roots and work ethic to my practice here in our capital city. I originally moved to Des Moines to attend Drake University, where I graduated magna cum laude in 2016 with a degree in Rhetoric, Media and Social Change. During my undergraduate tenure, I ran cross country and track for the Bulldogs and studied Spanish and Sustainable Development for a semester in San José, Costa Rica.

After a few real-world stints in the employment law and energy efficiency fields, I returned to Drake for law school, ultimately graduating with highest honors and a public service certificate in May of 2021. After competing on Drake Law School’s National Moot Court, National Environmental Moot Court, and Client Counseling teams, I was named to the Order of the Barristers, an organization recognizing the top oral advocates in a graduating class. Other law school engagements included work as a teaching assistant for the legal research and writing program, a research assistant with Professor Hunter Clark on law and social change, and an intern with Chief Justice Susan Christensen of the Iowa Supreme Court. I also honed my immigration know-how through work with Iowa Justice for Our Neighbors, the Immigrants’ Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union, and Drake’s Refugee Clinic. In my final semester, I guided area business owners and nonprofit organizations through entity formation, compliance, and strategic planning issues through Drake’s Entrepreneurial and Transactional Clinic.

When I’m not at the office, you can generally find me on the dance floor wherever there’s a Latin rhythm. I also enjoy finding the latest and greatest events around Des Moines – from food and music to sustainability and wellness. Some of my other hobbies include running, tennis, and traveling.
