As a transactional associate attorney at BrownWinick, I assist clients across many industries with a diverse range of business matters. As your attorney, I strive to understand your business and objectives in order to provide advice tailored to your particular circumstances. I analyze the impacts of today’s actions to anticipate, identify and address potential future issues before they arise.

My Approach

The practice of transactional law is a team effort, and therefore, communication is my priority. I work with you to fully understand how the task at hand may impact your business on a larger scale and to tailor solutions accordingly, staying in communication with you, so that we are on the same page throughout the process. Not only do I take the big picture into consideration, but I focus on the details. I work to anticipate, identify and address potential issues on the front end.

More About Me

I graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Political Science, along with minors in Business Administration and Communication Studies in 2014. I then attended the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law School, graduating cum laude with my J.D. and Diploma in Comparative Law in 2018. While in law school, I served as a judicial extern in the Middle District of Louisiana for Judge John W. deGravelles and was a member and production editor of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources.

A native of Davenport, Iowa, I moved to Des Moines after living in Louisiana for nearly 10 years (Geaux Tigers!). Before returning to Iowa, I practiced corporate and securities law for nearly three years in New Orleans, Louisiana. My practice primarily focused on corporate governance and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting matters, along with understanding and providing advice regarding best practices for publicly traded companies. I regularly assisted clients with: matters regarding compliance with federal securities laws and NYSE and NASDAQ listing requirements; review and drafting of annual, current and quarterly reports, proxy statements, and press releases; public disclosure and other matters related to environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) issues; preparation for board and stockholder meetings; and review of internal company policies, organizational documents, corporate governance guidelines and board committee charters. I am a member of the Polk County Bar, Iowa State Bar and Louisiana State Bar Associations.
