Sarah aims to be known as a lawyer her clients feel comfortable reaching out to – someone approachable who can explain legal matters in a straightforward way. Sarah focuses on offering reassurance and practical solutions to those dealing with challenges. By connecting her clients with the right combination of expertise and services, she helps them meet their business objectives and achieve meaningful results. This is the standard she works toward every day as an Associate Attorney at BrownWinick.
Katelyn works with a wide range of clients each with their own unique challenges and goals. Katelyn is involved in the areas of business and corporate transactions, business formation, and corporate finance, as well as data security, privacy, technology, and international law. She enjoys the opportunity to assist clients with bringing their business goals to fruition, while operating in a highly regulated environment.
Emily works primarily in the Real Estate and Business and Corporate Law practice groups. She aims to empower clients to reach their desired goals by prioritizing what is most important to them. She understands that each legal issue presents its own unique challenges, and she wants to provide advice that is specific to her client’s needs. Emily is committed to learning about her clients to help find practical and effective solutions that best serve their interests, values, and short- and long-term objectives.
Austin serves clients across a range of practice areas and industries. Austin is actively involved in the firm’s Energy, Natural Resources, and Environmental Law Practice Group. He also is regularly called upon to assist the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, particularly on energy, utility, and telecommunications matters. Austin’s experience, however, extends across several industries and he is ready to work with his clients and their business to tackle any legal challenge or opportunity that lies ahead.
Anna works primarily in the Estate Planning practice group. Anna strives to make the process of estate planning accessible to her clients, and to provide advice that is oriented to their particular needs. It is her intent to develop a relationship with her clients and walk with them as she creates your initial estate plan, and as needs may change throughout the various stages of their life. Anna makes it her mission to understand her client's unique situation and their unique wishes. Together, she will craft a plan specifically tailored to their goals, ensuring that their assets are protected, their wishes are recognized, and their loved ones are taken care of during every aspect of their lives.
As a litigator, Jenna seeks to understand her client’s businesses and the unique challenges they face. She draws on her knowledge and experience clerking in the Iowa appellate court system, to ensure the best possible outcome. Jenna strives to be a trusted advocate and to offer her client’s thoughtful and straightforward legal advice at all stages of a dispute. Jenna will always work hard and collaborate with her clients to understand their case and what is at stake. It is important to her that her clients understand the legal issues and what may result at each step of the process.
John specializes in Business and Corporate law along with Government and Administrative law. John wants to be a facilitator to clients and find solutions tailored to their specific needs, not a cut and paste answer. His approach is to understand clients’ business and their goals and to help them achieve those goals in the most practical and efficient way possible. He wants to help by solving the small problems while keeping the bigger picture in mind. John helps clients to find simple solutions to complex legal issues, and if there is not a simple solution, then a solution that is easily digestible and actionable.
Lydia practices primarily in business transactions. Her goal, even before going to law school, was to help business owners and entrepreneurs to use the legal system to empower their businesses. Whether as part of an acquisition, a major contract, or the sale of a business, Lydia wants to tailor the deal to meet the needs of her client’s company. Well-drafted documents are the way to see visions come to life. Lydia will present a set of options that empower her clients to make an informed decision by weighing the costs and benefits of a decision. No helpful solution can eliminate risks entirely, so she wants to help clients take the necessary risks to achieve what they value most.
Elias practices in estate planning, business succession, and corporate law. Elias hopes to be an approachable resource for clients as they consider their legal needs. He has a diverse background that gives him a unique perspective on finding efficient solutions for his clients. Elias enjoys building relationships and would be happy to connect and discuss how he might be able to help. As a woodworker, Elias learned that the order of operations is an important part of efficiently completing a project. He approaches legal problems in the same fashion. Elias is intentional about asking questions so he can understand the needs and concerns of his clients. This approach helps him see the full picture and identify effective solutions that work for his clients.
