Samuel is an associate attorney here at BrownWinick. Sam knows there are often many ways to solve the issues his clients face, and a legal solution is one piece of that puzzle. Because of this, Sam strives to provide clients with expert legal counsel that fits into the bigger picture of their business. Sam is actively engaged in BrownWinick's Health Care and Corporate groups and is able to remain on the leading edge of updates within my client's industries that may impact their business.
Sam received his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2022 and also graduated from the University of Iowa College of Public Health with a Master of Health Administration. In 2018, he graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Political Science and was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2022.
Sam Olson is an associate attorney at BrownWinick. She works primarily in the Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Law Practice Group. She has experience tackling complex environmental and regulatory challenges across multiple industries, including electric power, natural gas distribution, manufacturing, and refining, with a focus on regulatory advocacy, compliance counseling, and litigation. Sam frequently advises clients on various air, water, and waste issues and helps clients navigate the complexities of changing state and federal laws. She also has worked on high stakes litigation matters such as class action lawsuits and appellate challenges to environmental regulations.
Sam was born and raised in Des Moines, but, after growing very tired of Iowa winters, she headed south to Florida for college. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a B.A. in Ecosystem Science and Policy and Economics in 2016. After undergrad, Sam slowly began her journey back north. Sam received her J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law in 2020. She was admitted to the District of Columbia bar in 2021.
