What You’ll Do:
As the Director of Information Technology at BrownWinick, you’ll lead the development and implementation of the firm’s IT strategy, ensuring that our technology infrastructure supports the evolving needs of our attorneys and staff. In this role, you’ll drive innovation, optimize workflows, safeguard data, and contribute directly to the firm’s success. You’ll be empowered to make strategic decisions and oversee the day-to-day management of the firm's technology operations, security, and systems, all while working closely with leadership to align IT initiatives with the firm’s goals. - Responsibility & Ownership: You’ll manage all IT operations, including vendor relationships, personnel, and project management, giving you full ownership over the firm’s IT strategy and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the firm’s technical vision and direct all aspects of technology development and integration.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term IT business plans aligned with the firm’s strategic goals.
- Drive quality improvement through the development of performance metrics and continuous reporting.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of systems, software, and programs to meet the firm’s needs.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve firm efficiencies, reduce expenses, and increase revenue.
- Assist in IT department development, hardware procurement, and facilities management to align with firm business plans.
- Manage IT personnel and provide leadership and development opportunities for the team.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective partnerships.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous review of IT and cybersecurity policies to ensure compliance with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during technology upgrades, system integrations, and process improvements. Foster collaboration with teams to drive successful adoption.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations, technology management, and personnel development.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, goal setting, and road-mapping for IT departments.
- Ability to provide high-level expertise across a wide range of business and IT-related topics with sensitivity to organizational impact.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with business and IT partners at all levels.
- Strong understanding of team structure and collaborative approaches for maximizing department resources.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Experience in managing and developing staff within a team-oriented, interactive setting.
- Strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of the impact of technology on business operations.
- Proactive problem-solver with a focus on achieving results through collaboration.
