Adam C. Van Dike

I am a member at BrownWinick and practice primarily in the areas of real estate and creditor's rights.  While I focus mainly on real estate issues, I have a broad legal background in a variety of areas which help me to give clients advice from many different perspectives.  My approach to the practice of law is to provide common sense advice and to avoid creating unnecessary concerns for the client.  I enjoy practicing law and appreciate the diversity of issues I am privileged to address each day.

My Approach

My job is to identify issues, explain the issues and advise the client how to navigate through the issues.  I believe clients appreciate my common sense approach and ability to focus on important issues and not on unnecessary details.  I always treat my clients with respect, understand that their legal concerns are very important, and hope the client considers me a friend throughout the process.

More About Me

I grew up in Iowa and enjoy all things Iowa!  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) and my law degree from Creighton University School of Law.  Before joining BrownWinick, I practiced at a small law firm in Des Moines where I gained experience in real estate, creditor's rights and litigation matters.  I keep busy with various volunteer and church activities and serve on a non-profit board.  I love to travel with my family, read, exercise, golf, and play pickle ball!  I have been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyer® in the areas of  Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law and Real Estate Law.  I am also admitted to practice before the United States Districts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.
