BrownWinick is thrilled to announce attorney Kailey Blazek has joined the firm to lead our Immigration practice. Kailey, a Nebraska native, joins us from a boutique immigration law firm in her home state. While at her previous firm, Kailey had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in the immigration realm where she learned the intricacies of the immigration system and developed key knowledge and strategy in numerous immigrant and nonimmigrant processes.
Through her immigration expertise, Kailey advises employers with respect to their employment eligibility verification obligation under federal law (the I-9 process) and assists them in obtaining proper work authorizations for their foreign workers, including, but not limited to, H-1B, L-1, and TN nonimmigrant visas where applicable. She also works with employers to ensure that they can hire and retain foreign workers and comply with the laws and regulations governing the employment relationship.
In addition to her immigration work, Kailey’s practice will focus on employment & labor; food & agribusiness; HR compliance & training; manufacturing; software companies; and technology.
Kailey attended Drake University Law School and graduated with honors in December 2016. While at Drake, Kailey earned an International and Comparative Human Rights Law Certificate and was a member of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law.
